Boating Safety on Lake Michigan After Recent Tragedy

In a tragic incident on Lake Michigan, a 2008, 17-foot Triton fishing boat capsized off the coast of Ozaukee County. The boat, struck by a wave and quickly submerged, left its three occupants stranded in the cold, turbulent waters. Despite swift rescue efforts by multiple agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, two individuals were pronounced dead after being pulled from the water, while a third survivor remains in stable condition.
